Paprika roasted pumpkin seeds

This is too easy not to have a go at doing! They are a great alternative snack to crisps etc. They are salty so not for baby but toddlers and grown ups will devour them!!

Don’t ever throw those Halloween pumpkin seeds away again!


Seeds from one pumpkin

1-2 teaspoons of salt

Olive oil


Put the seeds into a pan and cover with water. Add the salt.

Mix together then bring the pan to the boil and simmer for around 10mins

Drain the seeds

Cover a baking tray with a thin layer of olive oil

Spread the seeds out on the tray trying to keep them in one layer so every seed touches the tray

Drizzle a little more olive oil over the top

Then sprinkle the paprika over generously

Pop into a preheated oven at 180 degrees on the top shelf for around 15minutes until they’ve browned

Remove from the oven and leave to cool on a wire rack for 10minutes
